14 YEARS ANNIVERSARY OF MUTUNDA SECONDARY SCHOOL
On Sunday 30 October 2016, Mutunda Secondary School of the Presbyterian Church in Rwanda ( Gitarama Presbytery, Huye District) celabrated its 14th anniversary. Different personalities including Rev. Julie Kandema ( Vice-President of EPR), Rev. Celestin Nsengimana ( President of Gitarama Presbytery), Mr. Francois Mushimimana ( Head of the departement of Education and Community Development in EPR), Mr Gasana Ildephonse ( one of the school founders), all students and their parents attended the event. The preacher of the day was Rev. Celestin Nsengimana Prov. 22,6 ; Dt 5, 16 & Dt 6, 4-9. the core message was about collaboration between parents, teachers and students to maintain the quality of education shaped by christian values of integrity, respect, love, determination and solidality. Currently, Mutunda Secondary school has 330 students ( 195 males and 135 females) both Ordinary Level and MEG ( Math, Economy and Geography). They are intending to start a computer Sciences related option in the near future depending of the possiblities of getting needed infrastructures ( Computer Lab). As a boarding school, they need to extend their dormitories so that they may increase the number of students. The event was also an opportunity for the football team of ES Mutunda girls to present to the guest of honor ( Vice-President of EPR) two cups they earned at national and regional ( Kenya) levels in the the course of the school year 2015-2016.
