The leadership of Gitarama Presbytery is pleased to use the fourth newsletter issue to share with its
partners its achievements in the domain of partnership. We are thankful to the delegation from
Kiskiminetas Presbytery who came for one week and participated in different activities organized for the
celebration of 10 years anniversary of the partnership.
Our deep gratitude is also addressed to those who from near and far attended the event and contributed to
its success. Without pretending to be exhaustive, the list include Mme Beatrice Uwamariya, the Maire of
Muhanga District (the Guest of Honor), Rev. Dr. Pascal Bataringaya and Rev. Julie Kandema,
respectively President and Vice President of the Presbyterian Church in Rwanda, presidents of
presbyteries, Arlene Brown, the Founder of Urukundo Foundation, Mr Emmanuel Niyirora and Dative
Mme Muhawenimana from Teach Rwanda, Rev. Rose Marie Ibyishaka, women desk officer and
coordinator of EPR’s partnerships, Mr Francois Mushimimana, head of the EPR’s department of
Education and Community Development, Mme Gasenge Therese, in charge of Diaconal Ministry within
EPR, leaders of different churches in Muhanga district, a delegation from the “Communauté des
diaconesses Abaja ba Kiristo Rubengera” and church members from different congregations of Gitarama
Presbyteries including partnership committees, choirs, elders and deacons.
